What is it?
Bankruptcy Filings search is a Federal search, that provides a 10 year inquiry of 94 Federal Districts, which reveals Chapters 7, 9, 11, 12, 13, 15, and 304 bankruptcy filings. This search can also be used to determine whether or not a party is involved in Federal litigation.
How does it work?
The Verified First team uses the PACER (Public Access to Court Electronic Records) website to perform this search. The PACER Case Locator (PCL) is a national index for district, bankruptcy, and appellate courts. To note, the number of federal district courts can vary by state; usually dependent on the population. For example, Idaho only has one district whereas California has four districts.
