Verified First does report:
Conviction Cases
We will report conviction cases seven years from the disposition date. In some cases, we will report prison/parole release dates if they are readily available.
Pending Cases
We report pending and open cases and will provide the next scheduled court date where available.
Open Warrants
We will report all cases with open/outstanding warrants where that information is available and not restricted by FCRA or state and local laws.
7 Year Scope
We will report conviction cases seven years from the disposition date. In some cases, prison/parole release dates will be used if readily available. Verified First will also report a minimum of 7 years in cases involving homicide, kidnapping, and sexual assault/abuse when the information is easily accessible when checking the main court index.
10 year and unlimited search scopes are also available for an additional fee. Note that if specific state restrictions conflict with a 10 year or unlimited lookback, the state restrictions will override the extended scope.
Verified First does not report:
Non-Conviction Cases
We do not report non-convictions. We pride ourselves on being in line with the EEOC's best-practice guidance, which was released in 2012. This report acts as an advocate for candidates by suggesting the criminal information that employers should and should not consider in their hiring decision.
Infractions
We do not report any information relating to infractions, summary offenses, violations or other sub-criminal information.
The information and opinions expressed are for educational purposes only and are based
on current practice, industry related knowledge and business expertise. The information
provided shall not be construed as legal advice, express or implied.
