What is it?
The Global Homeland Security Search, also known as the Patriot Act/Terrorist Watch List, is a global search administered by the Office of Foreign Asset Control. The search identifies individual terrorists and foreign terrorist organizations that are on watch status by the U.S. and other international government agencies.
The search will also include individuals that have been classified as:
- Debarred
- Denied
- Sanctioned
- Most Wanted
- Fugitives
- And More
How does it work?
Possible hits are pulled from a database search, and the Verified First team will sort through them to determine if any of them belong to the applicant. In the event that a hit belonging to your applicant is found, the appropriate search will be added to the report for you to view. Common searches added from this database search are the Office of Foreign Assets Control, Office of Inspector General, and a Health & Human Services Exclusions registry.
Who needs this search?
Organizations that are looking to protect their employees and their company from individuals that have been involved in terrorist activities, money laundering, illegal imports, fraud against government agencies, and more.
Why run this search?
Running the Global Homeland Security Watchlist search will help prevent hiring someone who has been involved in known terrorist groups, and other illegal trafficking/fraud activities, thus keeping your company a safer place to work.
