How to Perform a Hard Refresh

You may need to perform a “hard refresh” or “force reload” of a specific web page in order to load the latest version of the Verified First Widget. A hard refresh will clear your browser’s cache of the widget and force the website to load the most recent version.  

The instructions below provide steps for performing a hard refresh in the most common browsers.

Google Chrome

Windows:

• Hold down Ctrl and click the Reload button (⟳) in the top left corner of your browser window.
• Or hold down Ctrl and then press F5

Mac:

• Hold down ⇧ Shift and click the Reload button (⟳)
• Or hold down ⌘ Cmd and ⇧ Shift and then press ‘R’

Firefox

Windows:

• Hold down Ctrl and ⇧ Shift and press ‘R’
• Or hold down Ctrl and press F5

Mac:

• Press  ⌘ Cmd and ⇧ Shift and press ‘R’
• Or hold down Shift and click the Reload button (⟳)

Safari

• Hold down ⌘ Cmd and Option and then press ‘E’

Microsoft Edge

• Hold down Ctrl and click the Reload button (⟳)
• Or hold down Ctrl and then press F5
