After a background search has been completed on the applicant and the file has been marked as "Complete," "Approved," "Pre-Adverse Action," or "Adverse Action," applicants are emailed a link to their copy of the completed report, also known as the Consumer Copy. In order to access this report, they will need to enter a couple pieces of identifying information so that their report is protected from unauthorized access.
Let's take a look at what an applicant will experience when they attempt to access their Consumer Copy.
Once the background search has been completed, the applicant will receive an email with a link to access the Consumer Copy:
Clicking the View Report button will take the candidate to the security page where they will need to enter identifying information in order to access the electronic version of their report:
Once the proper information has been entered, the consumer report will load and can then be printed or saved to the candidate's computer/device:
